The 2008 The Alibi is a three vineyard blend from the Red Mountain AVA composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Cedar, tobacco, incense, black currant and blackberry notes lead to a savory, dense, concentrated, full-flavored wine which has the structure and balance to evolve for another 2-3 years. It will provide enjoyment from 2013 to 2023. Guardian Cellars was launched in 2003 by Jerry Riener, a full-time police officer, hence some of the names assigned to his wines. The winery officially opened in 2007 and current production stands at 3600 cases.www.guardiancellars.com

A full-flavored blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, sourced from the Klipsun, Ciel du Cheval, and Kiona vineyards. Red Mountain is noted for its reds, and this one delivers.
