The Donnafugata 2020 Sicilia Anthìlia is mostly Catarratto (that also goes by the name Lucido) blended with a small percentage of other complementary white grapes. This is a silky and streamlined wine, with floral notes of peach blossom and honeysuckle backed by some wild sage and crushed stone. Production is very large with 800,000 bottles made.

Closed in a screw-cap bottle, the Donnafugata 2019 Sicilia Anthìlia (with a seal to certify sustainable winemaking) is Catarratto supported by a smaller percentage of indigenous and international grapes. This fun, entry-level wine opens to a shiny golden hue and fragrant aromas of orange blossom, summer peach and some tropical tones of mango and papaya. This is a terrific lean-bodied choice for an outdoor lunch by the beach. An ample 800,000 bottles were released.

Donnafugata's 2018 Sicilia Anthìlia is a Catarratto-based blend with a very pretty and delicate aromatic profile that incorporates elements of white flower, honey, pear and passion fruit. This is a zesty and streamlined white wine (that sees no oak) to drink on easy occasions with light finger foods or bite-sized sushi rolls. Production is large at 830,000 bottles made.

The 2017 Sicilia Anthìlia is mostly Catarratto with some indigenous and international varieties mixed into the blend. This is a very bright and luminous wine that appears to have Sicilian sunbeams locked within. For easy-drinking occasions on the summer porch, backyard or rooftop terrazza, this is your wine. The finish is zesty and clean. One sip happily invites the next.
