The 2020 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve is a great effort in a challenging vineyard. It's scented of yellow apples and pears with accents of acacia, baker's yeast and cashew. The palate is silky and spicy with generous, ripe fruit and a long, slightly grippy finish. Drink it over the next 3-5 years.

The 2019 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve opens with matchstick tones that give way to delicate chamomile, beeswax and mushroom. The palate is focused and tangy with saline-tinged fruit, and there's a notably long, shimmery finish. It deserves another 2-3 years in bottle to unwind.

The 2018 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve has a nose of golden apples and citrus with wafts of floral perfume. The palate manages delicacy with loads of powerful flavor, with a fresh, bright acidic frame and a very long, mineral-laced finish.

The 2016 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve opens with a great streak of petrichor over fresh yellow apple and Bosc pear notes with accents of hay, crème fra?che and toast. Medium to full-bodied and creamy textured in the mouth, it gives up toasty flavors with a great core of concentrated, ripe fruit and juicy, mouthwatering acidity, finishing long and minerally.

The 2015 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve has a pretty oaky nose of cedar box, coconut and vanilla over a core of ripe apricots, honeydew melon and guava with a waft of ginger. The palate is medium to full-bodied and notably wood-laced, with plenty of butterscotch and tropical fruit flavors to back up the wood, finishing with great persistence.
