The 2009 Bourgogne is made from parcels in Vougeot and Morey, approximately 2/3 and 1/3 respectively. It is a sexy wine laced with radiant fruit, expressive aromatics and a generous personality. The Bourgogne is a great introduction to the house style. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. This is a beautiful set of wines from Groffier. The estate farms eight hectares of vineyards, all of which it owns. The fruit receives a cold soak prior to fermentation that accounts for much of the trademark perfume these wines show.
