Back after being hailed in 2013, the 2014 Beaune 1er Cru Grèves has an elegant and floral bouquet with light redcurrant and fresh strawberry scents. It seems to have shaken of the 85% hail damage pretty well. The palate is well balanced, fleshy in the mouth with supple tannin, a lovely touch of spice with decent weight and presence on the spice-tinged finish. Just five barrels produced this year. Enjoy this over the next decade.
