Already bottled, the 2017 Bourgogne Rouge Les Prielles exhibits a pretty bouquet of berry fruit, baking chocolate and sweet soil tones. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, supple and open-knit, with tangy acids and a pure core of fruit. It isn't quite as concentrated as the 2016 or 2015 renditions, but it's a very charming middleweight that is drinking well already.

A pretty and exceptionally fresh nose freely offers up notes of pomegranate, raspberry and soft earth wisps that continue onto the sleek, detailed and delicious flavors that deliver reasonably good persistence with only a trace of rusticity. A competent Bourgogne.

The 2015 Bourgogne Rouge comes from a single block and underwent its malolactic in foudres. It was taken from tank and had been blended a month ago. It has a gorgeous, quite floral bouquet with rose petal-infused red cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is fresh and well balanced, very natural in style with a twist of bitter cherry towards the bright finish. Amelie insisted on this being bottled earlier than during her father's time and I think that is a good decision.

A wonderfully fresh nose offers up a lovely array of aromas that include various red berries, violets, earth and a hint of clove. There is a relatively refined texture to the delicious yet entirely serious middle weight flavors that possess better than average depth and length for the genre. This ever-so-mildly warm effort should age well if desired. Recommended.

An exuberantly fresh nose combines notes of both red and dark berry fruit with those of earth and a soft floral hint. The delicious and vibrant flavors possess enough complexity and persistence to be interesting. I would further observe that this is a relatively refined effort in the context of the genre.
