A collaboration between Chateau Ste. Michelle & Dr. Loosen, the 2018 Eroica Riesling displays a pale straw color and a classic Riesling nose with soft petrol aromas and hints of green apple skin, white peach and lime candy. Medium-bodied, the wine is lively on the palate with juicy, succulent acidity that makes me salivate, and it shows a kiss of sweetness to lift the expression, ending with a fresh, vibrant finish. Another success, this bottling stands as a testament that Washington State Riesling can be made well, even at the $20 mark.

The 2017 Riesling Eroica wafts from the glass with classic Riesling notes of green apple, pineapple, limes, peach with citrus blossoms and a soft nuance of petrol. The wine is medium-bodied and clean on the palate, showing good acidity and freshness, with just a kiss of sweetness and a lingering finish. There were 12,500 cases made.

The 2016 Riesling Eroica is a great success, offering up a fragrant but elegantly understated bouquet of peaches, white cherries, lychee and citrus blossom. On the palate, it's light to medium-bodied, off-dry and stony, with mouthwatering acids and refreshing spritz. For the price, it's hard to beat.

The 2015 Riesling Eroica is another beautiful, pure and racy white that has vibrant acidity, medium-bodied richness and classy notes of lychee nut, petrol and honeyed minerality.
