Firm and chewy, this sample of the 2021 Greysac lacked charm.

Deep purple-black in color, the 2020 Greysac gives up notes of baked black plums, blackberry preserves and lavender, with hints of bay leaves and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate gives just enough straightforward fruit and a chewy texture, finishing abruptly and a little flat.

The 2019 Greysac is a very solid effort, delivering aromas of smoky, earthy cassis fruit followed by a medium to full-bodied palate that's ripe and fleshy, with youthfully chewy, somewhat rustic tannins and creditable depth at the core.

Some berry and chocolate character with hints of walnuts and berries. Medium body, firm tannins and a juicy finish. Well done.

The 2016 Greysac has quite a rich and opulent bouquet in the context of the vintage with quite glossy cassis and black cherry fruit. The palate is sweet with high toned black fruit, but frankly I found the finish exhibiting too much winemaking intent instead of expressing the vintage. Not a bad Greysac, although I have fonder memories of the 2015 last year.
