This is one of the most popular white wines you will find on restaurant lists across the Italian capital Rome. The 2013 Antinoo is mostly Chardonnay with a smaller percentage of Viognier. Casale del Giglio has taken a leading role in the production of both these white grapes in the Lazio region of central Italy. The wine is slightly heavy at the outset with thick layers of glycerin, candied fruit, citrus and white almond paste. The mouthfeel shows medium build and moderately thick texture. This white wine has the heft and power to pair with pasta in white sauce or spaghetti with vongole.

The 2011 Antinoo (66-34 Chardonnay and Viognier) is a delightful wine that is aged in oak and fragrant acacia wood. It is built with tight, thick layers of exotic flower and bright fruit baked by pretty spice, vanilla cream and pineapple. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2015.
