Ripe, lush and juicy, the 2019 Tribute opens with aromas of fleshy red fruit skin and peppery herbs that waft from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the wine offers a round and rich mouthfeel with succulent acidity and velvety tannins before lingering with a smooth and picturesque finish that brings me back for another sip.

The 2016 Tribute begins with dark red and black fruits tangled with oak tones, with notes of mocha and soft brown baking spices in the glass. The wine is medium to full-bodied in the mouth, with defined oak flavors and subtle expressions of popcorn kernel and nutmeg followed by soft cherry notes and blackberry skin across the mid-palate. The wine is balanced and persistent, lingering on to a thoughtful finish. 5,838 cases produced.

The 2015 Tribute is this label's largest cuvée at some 5,500 cases. It offers up an inviting bouquet of berry preserve and licorice. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, simple and fruit-driven, with a light framing of chewy tannins. Drink it in the near term. The breakdown consists of 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot, 10% Malbec, 10% Syrah and fully 36% of what is rather vaguely described as "red blend."

The 2013 Tribute checks in as a rock-solid mix of 38% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec and the balance Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Brought up in 35% new French oak (the balance in second and third fill barrels), it offers lots of plum, mulberry and incense in a fruit-forward, ready to go, textured style. Drink it over the coming 3-4 years.

In the same ballpark quality-wise as the Malbec, the 2012 Tribute (48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec, 15% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) has lots of leafy herb and tobacco notions to go with sweet black cherry and raspberry fruit. Medium-bodied, supple and elegant, it lacks mid-palate depth and length, yet still excels on its purity of fruit and high drinkability. Aged 21 months in 39% new French and Hungarian oak, drink this beauty over the coming 4-5 years.
