The 2014 Paciencia is nicely crafted and has moderate ripeness. It's medium to full-bodied, with some polished, sleek tannins. 20,000 bottles produced.

Firm and polished, this red shows a savory character, with iron, licorice, smoke and loamy earth notes shadowing black cherry and cranberry flavors. The sharp acidity and grippy tannins are a bit angular now. Best from 2017 through 2023. 4,000 cases made, 400 cases imported.??–TM??Region: Spain / Toro Select to Add

The 2013 Paciencia shows contained ripeness, fresher than previous vintages, with some berry fruit aromas intermixed with spices and a touch of leather. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with fine tannins and moderate acidity, polished and soft. It fermented in oak vats and matured in new barriques for 18 months. The oak feels better integrated than in the past. 40,000 bottles were produced. I'd be surprised if they don't have a US importer, but that's the information I got.

Bernard Magrez of Bordeaux fame has been producing a wine in Toro since 2003 and he has a small winery in a XVI century church in the centre of Toro. The 2012 Paciencia feels very ripe with upfront fruit, hints of blackcurrants (Ribena?) and herbs; it is extremely balsamic an perfumed with some earthy notes. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a soft texture and some sweet notes, polished tannins and moderate acidity. 80,000 bottles were produced.
