The Capanna 2020 Rosso di Montalcino is fresh and bright with wild cherries, crushed flowers and violets. This pretty but simple wine has the natural acidity and moderate structure to pair with your favorite home-cooked pasta dinner or even a simple chicken roast. There is a clear note of sweet cherry on the close. With 25,000 bottles released, Capanna sources most of the fruit for this wine directly from its Brunello di Montalcino vineyards.

The 2018 Rosso di Montalcino offers a textbook rendition of Sangiovese with wild berry, cassis, earthy notes and blue flower. These aromas are presented with informality and ease, making this Rosso a great choice for any pasta with meat ragù. Pretty cherry flavors and bright freshness appear on the finish. About 30,000 bottles were made.

The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino is a terrific little wine that packs a powerful punch. This is a clear and articulate vintage that delivers distinct fruit flavors and a pleasantly delineated style. Overall, this is a fresh and buoyant expression to pair with carbonara sauce with egg, grated pecorino cheese and crispy pancetta. Production is 25,978-bottles strong. The wine is elegant and fine.
