This too is exceptionally pretty with its expressive and airy array of violet, plum and earth-suffused nose. There is a silky texture to the mid-palate of the slightly more concentrated medium-bodied flavors though here too there is a hint of dryness though I suspect that the abundant gas exacerbates this aspect.

Here too there is a discreet but not invisible touch of wood framing the somber array of both red and dark currant aromas that are liberally laced by earth and underbrush scents. The round, generous, fleshy and supple medium weight flavors are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins though the finish exhibits just a hint of dryness.

In an immediately attractive soft cushioned, perfumed style, this is ripe, buoyed with fresh strawberry juice and balancing fresh, almost sweet, acidity. The wine is smooth, layering the light tannins with the intense fruits.——R.V.(10/1/2009)—— 90
