The 2004 TOURIGA NACIONAL is quite lovely. It is fragrant and beautifully balanced, with some velvet on the texture, and persistent blue fruit flavors on the finish. The tannins are ripe, but are sufficient to provide support. The fruit is very attractive. If not truly distinguished, and it did flatten out rather quickly after a couple of hours of air, it is very appealing and a good deal.
