The 2013 Pinot Noir Adriane comes from three different blocks in the vineyard and was cropped between October 2 and 6, matured for 11 months in French oak, one-third of which was new. It has a punchy bouquet with spicy red and black fruit, clove and bay leaf that is nicely defined but needs a little more finesse. The palate is balanced with succulent dark cherry and redcurrant fruit jostling for attention, the acidity quite pronounced towards the finish, with moderate length on the finish. Drink this over the next 4-6 years.
