The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Schrader (14.7% alcohol) is a wine of great intensity, but surprisingly the most closed of these five offerings in 2005. It needs another 3-4 years of cellaring at the minimum. Blackcurrants, licorice, incense and some toast make up the restrained, but intensely aromatic personality of this wine. It is full-bodied, super-pure, and as far as structure, is probably the most austere of all the 2005s.
