“The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Correlation is rich, round and expressive for the year. Mocha, plums,smoke, licorice and black cherries meld together in a rich, supple wine with tons of early appeal.Smoke, licorice and tobacco add complexity on the finish. The style is dark and brooding, but with notable intensity. The 2011 could use another year or two to fully come together, but it is impressive nonetheless. Vineyard 7&8's contract with Spring Mountain Vineyards has expired, so the Correlation is made from fruit sourced from other neighboring estates in the district, the estate's own younger vines and a dollop of fruit from Missouri Hopper.” — Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media (Nov ‘13)
