The 2018 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio Unterebner ages in tonneaux and botte grande for 11 months. This is a luminous, fragrant and complete expression of the grape. The wine pushes the limits of the otherwise informal and approachable Pinot Grigio grape, offering pedigree and sophistication. Back in 1989, two wines were selected to showcase the potential of Cantina Tramin. Those were the Alto Adige Gewürztraminer Nussbaumer and this wine. Both represented a perfect marriage of grape and territory. Fast forward to today, and this wine remains at the forefront of the winery's portfolio. This vintage awards aromas of pear, peach and Golden Delicious apple. Some 30,000 bottles were made.
