The 2008 Sangreal Pinot Noir has a pale ruby color with lovely aromas of wild strawberry, cherry, peppercorns, violets and a suggestion of Mediterranean herbs. The palate gives a medium level of fine tannins and good backbone of high acidity going into the long savory finish. Best to drink it from 2012 to 2016.
Since parting ways with Bannockburn, former winemaker Gary Farr has set about producing his own inimitable style of Geelong Pinots.
By Farr does not currently have a USA importer but exports these wines to Canada (Alberta and BC), Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
