There’s something earthy, sharp, and green in the nose, and airing doesn’t bring out hidden fruit. Sharp and thin. The spicy midpalate contains a trace of berry-cherry fruit, and then it turns dusty and tannic on the finish. Might soften with a year or so of cellaring. —S.H. ——S.H.(2/1/2003)—— 83
