The 2008 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a gorgeous, sleek wine laced with dark red fruit. Hints of tobacco, new leather and spices add complexity and nuance. This is an especially generous, well balanced wine for the vintage. The cool style of the year comes through beautifully here. The estate’s Vino Nobile is 90% Prungolo, 5% Colorino and 5% Mammolo that spent 18 months in oak, 70% cask and 30% barrique. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.
