The 2017 Pinot Noir Morrito has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and lovely perfume of raspberry and strawberry jam, crushed blackberries and cherries with hints of pepper, potpourri, dried flowers, orange peel, loamy earth and a touch of laurel, all knit by classy new oak spices. The palate is medium-bodied, satiny in texture and slow to open. With time, layers of spiced red and black fruits emerge, wrapped in a fine-grained frame and with lip-smacking acidity calling you in for another sip on the long, perfumed finish. Lovely! This merits another couple years in bottle.
