The 2005 QDM Bastardo was sourced from a single vineyard and spent 14 months in French oak. Earthy minerals and complex red fruit aromas lead to a remarkably concentrated offering that exemplifies finesse. Long and pure, this silky, elegant wine is pure pleasure. Drink it over the next 6-8 years. Quinta de Muradella, located in the town of Verin in the Monterrei DO, is a garage winery where proprietor Jose Luis Mateo and Raul Perez make wine from 34 unique, certified organic, parcels. A principal purpose of the project is to relate the history of the region through the wines.
