The 2007 QDM Finca Notario is 55% Mencia, 30% Bastardo, and 15% Garnacha Tintorera sourced from a single vineyard and aged in French oak for 14 months. It has a captivating, uplifted perfume of minerals, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and black raspberry. This leads to an intensely flavored, concentrated, elegant offering that is impeccably balanced, long and stylish. Drink it over the next 6-8 years. Quinta de Muradella, located in the town of Verin in the Monterrei DO, is a garage winery where proprietor Jose Luis Mateo and Raul Perez make wine from 34 unique, certified organic, parcels. A principal purpose of the project is to relate the history of the region through the wines.
