The estate’s 2008 Sauvignon is simply beautiful. Here the range of aromas and flavors tends towards mint, sage, tomato leaf and ripe, succulent peaches. This level of depth in Sauvignon is achieved only with fully ripe fruit, and I have to commend Tramin for such an exceptional wine in this price range. This is a terrific effort! Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011.
This is a brilliant set of entry-level wines from Tramin, a cooperative that boasts more than a century of winemaking history. The whites are aged in stainless steel, while the reds are aged either in whole or part in oak.
