The 2005 Finca Terrerazo is 70% Bobal, 20% Tempranillo, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bobal was sourced from 60+-year-old vines and the Tempranillo from 40-year-old vines and was aged for 19 months in French oak. It exhibits an alluring bouquet of cedar, smoke, spice box, violets, mineral, and black cherry. On the palate it is already beginning to show complexity. The flavors are pleasing, the wine supple and layered, and the finish is long and pure. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar and drink it through 2020.
