The 2003 Cabernet Cor Romigberg is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a dollop of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. This is one of the hotter microclimates in Alto Adige, so I suppose the wine’s rich, full-bodied style is not too surprising. The Cor Romigberg possesses gorgeous ripeness while retaining notable vibrancy. Dark red fruit, sweet herbs, licorice and herbs linger on the long, refined finish. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015.
