The 2006 Lavia+ (Plus) is 100% Monastrell from a single vineyard aged in French oak for 1 year. It offers more complex aromatics (likely from the barrel aging), rich fruit on the palate, and a lengthy finish. The 2006 Lavia is an unoaked cuvee of 70% Monastrell and 30% Syrah which was aged in tank sur lie for 12 months. Brier, underbrush, tapenade, blueberry, and blackberry aromas inform the nose of a round, sweetly-fruited, savory wine with outstanding depth and a seamless finish. Enjoy this pleasure-bent effort over the next 5-6 years. Molino y Lagares de Bullas began operations in 2004.
