Although Michet is technically the name of a Nebbiolo clone, Marchesi di Barolo seems to have trademarked it here to use as a fantasy name for this wine. The 2016 Nebbiolo d'Alba Michet opens to a light, ruby appearance and delicate aromas of wild rose, cassis and dried blueberry that are very true to the grape. Dusty notes of ash and crushed mineral appear on the close. This is an easy and approachable Nebbiolo to pair with honey glazed ham. Michet only ages in large oak casks.
