Martini's 2020 Sauvignon Blanc derives largely from purchased Napa Valley fruit, although it does contain 4% Semillon from the Monte Rosso Vineyard's 130-year-old vines (the oldest Semillon vines in the United States). Fermentation and maturation take place in barrel, stainless steel and concrete eggs. The result is a pleasant effort that combines notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and struck flint on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied, plump and round in the mouth, providing a contrast to the citrusy nose, then adds ripe fig and melon components on the finish.
