From barrel, this wine exhibited the potential to be outstanding. Now that it has been bottled, it is lighter, without sufficient aromatic or flavor dimension to merit an outstanding score. Nevertheless, there remains plenty to admire. It possesses a deep ruby color in addition to a sweet plum/cherry, woodsy bouquet with copious quantities of toasty new oak. A spicy St.-Emilion, with low acidity, medium body, and excellent richness and glycerin, it should drink well for 6-8 years.
