The 2007 TOURIGA NACIONAL / CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVA is elegant in the mid-palate and bright, with grip from ripe tannins on the finish. Spicy and with an overlay of oak, it is quite tasty, but the oak is well too prominent at the moment. As the fruit starts to show itself, it develops aggressive and intense flavors, laced with ripe rhubarb. This young wine needs to settle down a bit, when it will have a chance to show its stuff. It is well priced and delivers some bang for the buck. I confess that I liked its structure more than its flavor profile. Your mileage may differ. Drink 2011-2019.
