The barrel fermented 2016 Chardonnay was produced with night harvested grapes from 17-year-old vines, aged in barrel for six months with frequent battonage. It has a classical nose mixing the white and yellow fruit with spicy and smoky aromas, quite balsamic, showing the effect of the barrels. The palate revealed very tasty flavors, good persistence, with the balsamic notes (bay leaf, waxy apples) also found in the nose. 16,000 bottles were filled in April 2017.
