The impressive portfolio of Pinot Noirs includes the medium ruby-colored 2004 Pinot Noir Clone 667. It offers attractive notes of briery cherries and raspberries, moderate body, and a crisp, premier cru Beaune-like style. It can be drunk now or cellared for 4-5 years. Tight and a bit tart, with a clipped, sour cherry edge to the earthy wild berry, blueberry, mineral and pebble notes. Ends with a tight, tannic finish. Could use short-term cellaring. Best from 2007 through 2011. 214 cases made. -JL
