The current releases include one white wine, the 2008 Placet Valtomelloso, produced from 100% Viura and aged sur lie for 11 months in large oak ovals. Light gold in color, it displays an enticing nose of spring flowers, baking spices, fennel, peach, and melon. Round, supple, and savory on the palate, it has a vibrant acid structure, good volume, and a fruit-filled finish. It is likely to evolve for 2-3 years and is a fine example of high-class white Rioja.
