The 2009 Faustino V Reserva is released as a Reserva, Tempranillo with 9% Mazuelo and 16 months in American oak. The nose is balsamic and oak-driven with plenty of notes of smoke, cigar ash, vanilla and a touch of cinnamon, hints of leather and ripe fruit that are developing unusual meaty aromas of smoky bacon. The palate is medium-bodied, polished and easy to drink. 650,000 bottles produced.
