This is always such a delicious wine. The 2015 Alto Adige Terlano Sauvignon Quarz delivers an impressive sense of purity and razor-sharp varietal precision. There is a lot of vertical depth on the bouquet, with deeply layered aromas that span from stone fruit and white mineral to soy sauce and dried rosemary. The effect is very beautiful and also a bit unusual in a flirtatious, exotic way. This was a warm vintage, and the intensity meter seems to be dialed up a notch as a result.
