From a 1,400 foot elevation site, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Mountain Estate Vineyard offers sweet red and black currant notes interwoven with hints of truffles, damp earth, forest floor, lead pencil shavings, and flowers. It possesses excellent ripeness for a 2006, a dense, medium to full-bodied palate, and moderate tannins. This wine should drink well for 15 years.
As it does elsewhere in northern California, 2007 appears to be a much stronger vintage for Bordeaux varietals at Fisher.
