Godeval gets much of the credit for rescuing the Godello grape from extinction. The estate made its first Godello in 1986. It is now recognized as one of Spain’s finest white wine grapes. The 2006 Vina Godeval is 100% Godello aged in stainless steel. Light straw colored with green highlights, it exhibits an alluring perfume of mineral, floral notes, citrus, and tropical fruits lurking in the background.
