A distinctive nose of plum, damp soil, and black currants intermixed with smoke and mineral jumps from the glass of this dense, purple-colored wine. This wine is still youthful and vigorous, with a tremendous upside potential. Ideally, if it were in my cellar, I would cellar it for another 2-3 years and drink it over the following two decades. It is that loaded, concentrated, and impressive. In fact, at the vertical I did of Rockford's Cabernets, this was my top wine, although I enjoyed them all.
