The Talamonti 2017 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Modà is fresh, immediate and easy to drink, a simple pairing with a cacio e pepe or any straightforward pasta dish with cheese. Nothing about this wine is overdone. Instead, this lean to mid-weight Montepulciano d'Abruzzo offers frank aromas of cherry, blackberry and spice. It ages in oak casks for a quick six months, and the results of that wood are not exactly neutral, but almost. An ample 330,000 bottles were made.
