The 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain possesses good density as well as richness, but elevated tannin, medium body, and a certain angularity. It comes across like a young Bordeaux from a lean year, which may not be a compliment in California. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the aromas and flavors, but not the austerity. We’ll see how it ages, but it appears to be somewhat of a gamble. Tel. (888) 875-9096 and (707) 967-8020
