From behind yeasty fermentative notes emerge scents of lemon, apple and wet stone. The midpalate impression is sleek and lithe, delivering a lemon- and vanilla-cream-like sense of richness but also abundant, bright juiciness. The buoyantly and refreshingly lingering finish adeptly integrates the wine’s considerable residual sugar while displaying delightful transparency to stony and alkaline nuances. Incidentally, acidity here is not quite eight grams, yet, as indicated, the wine by no means lacks for tang or animation.
