Vinified with 20% whole clusters and matured for 10 months in 40% new French oak, the 2019 Pinot Noir San Saba Vineyard has a pale garnet color and lush aromas of red cherries, bergamot, forest floor, aniseed and cured meats. The medium-bodied palate has a core of pleasantly broody fruit, loads of Angostura-like accents, fireworks of fresh acidity and a long, ultra-spicy finish. 378 cases were made.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir San Saba Vineyard is delicately scented of cranberries, pomegranate and rhubarb with touches of sautéed herbs and forest floor. Medium-bodied, focused and firmly built, the chewy tannins frame the earthy flavors nicely and it finishes with an herbal lift.

A barrel selection from their estate vineyard, the 2014 Pinot Noir San Saba Vineyard is another classy, outstanding wine from winemaker Michael Thomas. Seeing a small portion of whole cluster, it has rich, forward notes of black raspberries, toasty oak and licorice to go with a medium to full-bodied, polished, rounded and even sexy style on the palate. Drink this pleasure bent beauty anytime over the coming 6-7 years.

The cassis, cherry, licorice and sweet oak-scented 2012 Pinot Noir San Saba Vineyard offers gorgeous texture and richness in its medium to full-bodied, balanced and forward profile. It shows the vintage's upfront character, but there's plenty of tannin here as well, so while it can be enjoyed now, it will evolve nicely for 4-5 years as well.
