The 2021 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard comes from mostly dry-farmed vines planted in 1934 and was matured for 13 months in 29% new oak. It has a medium ruby-purple color and gregarious scents of wild berry jam, orange peel, peach and wildflowers, opening to potpourri and bitters-like spices as it airs in the glass. The palate is powerful and seamlessly structured, with generous layers of fruit and a long, latent finish. It deserves to unwind for another 3-5 years and will be long-lived in the cellar. 375 cases were made.

Deep ruby-purple, the 2019 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard is pure and classic, with peach and wild berry fruit with accents of potpourri, spices and dusty earth. The full-bodied palate offers surprising depth of flavor and is expertly structured, with an anchoring, grainy texture and loads of refreshing uplift, and it finishes very long and layered with a flourish of spices. It's the stuff of Zinfandel dreams. 588 cases produced.

Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard explodes with potpourri aromas reminiscent of dried citrus, flowers and bark, lingering over a youthfully dense core of tricolored berry fruit. The medium-bodied palate explodes with juicy fruits, plushly framed and offering bright pops of citrus-like flavors on the long, lifted finish.

The 2017 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard is medium to deep ruby-purple with a nose of peach and blueberry pie, boysenberry jam, warm black fruits and floral perfume. Medium to full-bodied with concentrated warm fruits, it has firm, slightly chewy tannins with good freshness and a long, warm fruit finish. 486 cases produced.

The medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Zinfandel Papera Vineyard is scented of baked plums, dried roses and spice box over a core of cranberry sauce and fruitcake with a waft of anise. The palate is full-bodied and chewy with a lively backbone cutting through the rich fruit preserves, finishing earthy. 389 cases produced.
