From 40- to 50-year-old vines, the 2022 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett opens with an intense but filigreed and refined nose of ripe Riesling berries and delicate notes of weathered brown slate and pink grapefruit. Pure and saline on the palate, this is a light, filigreed and almost fragile but lush Kabinett that is enormously saline and highly stimulating on the finish. The 2022 already drinks beautifully. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023.

From vines about 50 years old and picked at 76° Oechsle, the 2021 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett is the only "Kabi" made here in this vintage that simply lacked the quantity to select for both styles. This one here is very delicate and refined on the subtle yet finely concentrated and elegant nose. Crystalline, refined and lush on the palate, with very delicate, filigreed fruit that is infused with very elegant acidity, this is a beautiful, balanced and stimulating Kabinett with ripe but fine fruit that does not envelop the acidity but intertwines with it and begins to dance. There is great finesse and balance with filigreed structure, and this is probably one of the finest Kabinett wines of the vintage on the Mosel. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.

Presents peach, apricot and apple flavors, which serve as the main themes, with underlying citrusy acidity keeping it all fresh and long. Just off-dry. Drink now. 700 cases made, 224 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Germany / Mosel Select to Add

Always from diverse plots scattered throughout the hillside, the 2020 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett was harvested in two passes about three weeks apart (about 20% was picked late). This is clear but intense and elegant on the nose that shows a finely flinty and intensely fruity but always finessed and crystalline, slate-scented bouquet. On the palate, this is an intense and juicy sweet yet also piquant, stimulating and salty Juffer Kabinett with fine, just-ripe phenolic grip and ripe and mouth-filling fruit. The wine was aged two-thirds in steel and one-third in cask and was bottled with 8.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted from AP 4421 in November 2021.

The 2019 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett is bright, clear and precise on the crystalline and flinty nose. Sweet but with sharp acidity and greenish fruit, this is a lean and sour Kabinett from 20- to 40-year-old vines. The wine is sharp, fresh and well-concentrated but doesn't reach the length of the great Kabinett wines from the Himmelreich and the Wehlener Sonnenuhr. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.
