Medium-deep garnet colored, the 2009 Reserve Chambourcin has a moderate intensity of red cherry, red currant and plum aromas with a whiff of pencil shaving. Very crisp, light to medium-bodied and with a low to medium level of chewy tannins, it has a medium-long finish of red berries. Drink it now through 2013. All Tambulaine wines are Australian Certified Organic.No known USA importer.

The 2007 Reserve Chambourcin reveals a deep garnet color and earthy aromas of loam and girolles over dark cherry fruit and a hint of cigar box. The palate provides medium to high acid enlivening the full body with a medium level of soft tannins and a long finish. Drink now to 2016. Twenty-five years ago Mark Davidson started Tamburlaine as a boutique winery, in the days when the Hunter had only 20-25 wineries. Today he produces around 100,000 cases of wine from vineyards in the Hunter Valley, Orange and Mudgee – all Australian Certified Organic (though this is not automatically accepted by USA labeling standards).Around 65% of Tamburlaine’s sales are domestic with a very strong mailing list following.
