The 2021 Diel de Diel is a blend of 80% Pinot Blanc, 15% Pinot Gris and 5% Riesling that offers a clear, very fresh and pure noise of white fruits and crushed stones. Round, lush and elegant on the palate, this is a light to medium-bodied, charming, very delicately textured and balanced blend with a saline finish. It was vinified in oak barrels of different seizes as well as in stainless steel. It has a good finish with a fine phenolic and tannin grip. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.

The 2015 Diel de Diel is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and a bit of Riesling. It is an aromatic, juicy and creamy textured wine with grip, tension and a certain power that gives a touch of sweetness.

The 2007 Diel de Diel – as usual, a blend of Pinots with a bit of Riesling – offers fresh cherry and almond scents and flavors tinctured with herbs and salt, proving quite simply delicious for short-term enjoyment. With the 2007 vintage – one Armin Diel compares with his superbly successful 2004s – daughter Caroline Diel has joined Christoph Friedrich in guiding vineyard and cellar operations here.
