The estate’s 2004 Campora (Cabernet Sauvignon) is strikingly beautiful. Dark red fruit, herbs, truffles and flowers waft from the glass, followed by intense fruit that saturates the palate. The Campora reveals gorgeous inner perfume, and an expansive, textured personality that balance the firm tannins beautifully. The finish is round and impeccable in every way. The 2001 Campora (Cabernet Sauvignon) spent two years in French oak prior to being bottled. The wine possesses an intriguing profile of super-ripe yet vibrant fruit. Today it comes across as quite primary which might be surprising considering its age, but this is a wine that generally hits its stride between ages eight and twelve when the full range of varietal aromas and flavors shows at its fullest.
