Scavino’s 2010 Langhe Bianco (Sauvignon, Chardonnay) is very nicely balanced in this vintage. It shows lovely delineation and steeliness in its white stone fruits and flowers. The Sauvignon aromatics are quite present and add good complexity but don’t dominate, as has sometimes been the case in the past. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2013. Sauvignon aromatics play a dominant role in the 2007 Langhe Bianco (Sauvignon, Chardonnay). Minerals, sage and white peach nuances appear as this medium-bodied white opens in the glass. The wine offers excellent balance, but the prominent Sauvignon aromas may not be for every palate. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
